Background

Originally from South Africa, I fortunately knew from around the age of 12 that my destiny lay as a Beauty Therapist. I trained here in  Auckland and graduated with a City & Guilds Internationally recognised Certificate in Beauty Therapy in 2003.

 

The past 20 years has been dedicated to perfecting my craft, in order to give clients the most compassionate, professional, stress-less, pain-free and memorable experience I am capable of. I’ve learned in my career to put myself in your shoes and be acutely aware of how everything I do impacts all your five senses and how they are nourished – leaving you beautifully relaxed and dreamily revitalized after each and every treatment together.

 

London, Harley Street and beyond

At the age of 21 (my family had emigrated to NZ when I was 16) I embarked on an exciting 10-year career in the UK.  I worked for a high-end establishment in London - across the road from the famous Toy Store - Hamley's, as well as the home of Burberry and amongst the hub for Vogue’s London international head-quarters.

It was there I had the opportunity of a lifetime, treating some of the UK’s most well-known celebrities and VIP international clients. In November 2010 I was featured in Vogue magazine's segment "X-Rated" with the distinction of being the "fastest waxer in London".

Later, I was fortunate to have worked for a Holistic Clinic on Harley Street – The world’s most prestigious precinct for cosmetic and aesthetic treatments. I was the Head Derma-therapist treating patients with severe skin conditions- working alongside the lead Dermatologist and treating patients from all around the world. Our holistic approach was from the inside-out, topically with natural remedies, tonics and regular treatments. I also consulted patients with weight loss goals; Conducted weigh-ins, vibro-mat treatments, diet control advice and general care advice for their personal journeys.

A professional back home with brand-new eyes

Returning home in 2016 and uncertain of the Auckland Beauty industry after being away for a decade, I found myself at VIVO Hair and Skin Clinic. I quickly achieved awards and acknowledgments which gave me courage to think about my future and how I would like to develop professionally.

My Way

​

I set up my own therapeutic massage business providing mobile treatments; in the comfort of my clients’ own homes, on their own decks, in their own gardens, under their own trees and even on their own luxury yachts!

Soon it was time for an adventure away from the Auckland rat race – to a completely different way of life in a rural town, Kohukohu (Northland). There I met and worked with delightfully eclectically-eccentric people on a magical AIR B&B resort in the Hokianga Harbour - where I co-hosted and facilitated meditation and spa retreats and therapeutic treatments for the local village ladies (and the occasional scruffy country gentlemen!). I developed a treatment that everyone loved and needed – quickly adopted by locals as “The Hokianga Special”. Once back in Auckland I renamed this treatment THE ULTIMATE GLOW-UP FACIAL. Its wonderful treatment - both practical and revitalizing!

It was there in the Hokianga that I also adopted my little sausage... a jovial and slightly lopsided-headed country cat – the small cat with the large name… Mr Hemmingway!

 

Charting my own course

After 20 years of professional development, opportunity, mentoring, travelling and an abundance of life and career experience I decided it is time now to be my own boss. With my extensive experience, along with being a therapeutic masseuse, clinical facialist as well as special occasion make-up artist I have extended my offering with being a Cosmetic Semi-Permanent Make-up artist.
